Finally Mattcutt announced on twitter about the much waited Google Panda 4.0. Google’s Panda algorithm is designed to prevent poor quality websites ranking on top search results. The first Panda Updated started in Feb 24, 2011. For the first time 11.8% of the English searches affected by this algorithm update. In 2011 Google updated algorithm its algorithm for 9 times. The Panda 4.0 update is one of the recent update in last 1 year. This time 7.5% of the searches has effected across the world.

There is lot of speculation on the losers after Google Panda update this time. Some of the trusted sources confirm that ebay is the biggest looser this time. Some of the top keywords has dropped from the search ranking (1st page to 3rd page on 20th May 2014). Some of the top keywords where ebay has lost first page rankings after 20th May 25, 2014

Some of the sources confirmed that ebay pages are out of index after the Panda roll out. We need to wait for few more days to understand the effect of Panda. Due to Memorial Day it’s hard to decide on the rankings & traffic drops. May be next week we will see real losers & gainers of Panda 4.0.
